Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results-driven and customer service-oriented technician to join our amazing culture. The Service Technician plays a key role in servicing and supporting our customers.
The Role
As a Security Installation Technician with Convergint in Sydney, NSW you will be part of a highly skilled team with involvement in all aspects of our NSW office.
This position is responsible for providing customer and technical support in installing systems Security CCTV, Access Control Systems, Intercoms and Visitor Management. Can work within a team environment either on construction-based installs or existing customer locations, also may carry out Customer Support Programs and perform installation and commissioning on minor works and small projects jobs.
What you’ll do with “Our Training and Your Experience”
- Act as “our customer’s best service provider” at all times thereby ensuring Convergint is the customer’s first choice for service.
- Be able to do rotational on-call emergency and after-hours service calls on a timely basis; diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, replace defective parts and debug systems for routine problems; install projects as necessary.
- Assist with the development and updating of best practice techniques.
To be successful in the role you will need to have:
- High-level communication skills – written, oral, and liaison.
- Knowledge of Australian Standards applicable to the Security Industry.
- Good planning and project management skills and the ability to prioritise issues and tasks.
- An understanding of quality assurance principles and their application.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Requirements:
Mandatory
- Minimum of three years of experience as a Security Service Technician. With industry or trade qualifications
- Have or be eligible to obtain a NSW Security Licence.
- Open Cablers licence
- Driver’s licence.
- Passion for technology.
- High attention to detail.
Highly Desirable
- Experience with electronics.
- People Management skills
- OH&S card.
- Experience with various EACS systems Gallagher, Integriti and Lenel preferred.
- Experience in IT including IP CCTV, IP intercoms and networking experience with Genetec, Avigilon, and Milestone preferred.
