Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic Warehouse Coordinator to join our amazing culture. In this role, you will administer and operate the WA warehouse, including efficient shipping, receiving, processing, packaging, storing and ordering of tools, supplies, materials and equipment.  You will be responsible for receiving and shipping parts efficiently and providing project and service support to field colleagues and supporting office colleagues as needed.

The role responsibilities

  • Manages the warehouse including purchasing, shipping and receiving of all tools and materials. Ensures timely shipping, receiving and inspection of boxes for damage. 
  • Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of physical inventories, record keeping, documentation and ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation and reporting of all warehouse transactions.
  • Receives, unloads and stores incoming materials including tools, parts and equipment. This includes matching contents to the packing list and assigning them to the job shelf.  Fulfill materials to corresponding jobs. Visually inspects cartons, packages and contents for damage from handling and transit.  Places orders for installation and service projects. 
  • Handles freight carrier deliveries and schedules pick-ups as needed.  Packs and ships products to vendors, customers, and sub-contractors. This includes creating labels and shipping to customers or vendors as needed.
  • Handles and processes returns including all Return Materials Authorizations (RMAs); this includes returning and shipping RMA’s as needed. 
  • Initiates invoicing for the assigned line of business and includes pay applications as required. Enters security invoices periodically. 
  • Creates and enters all relevant Purchase Orders (PO’s) into the Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) system (NetSuite) and updates product cost in the material management workbook. Performs monthly cycle counts, annual inventory counts and reconciliation.  Works with other departments such as Purchasing and Operations to resolve receiving challenges.  Stays abreast of PO status and resolves issues.
  • Pulls and stages orders for installers or service technicians.  Delivers materials and/or documents to customer job sites as required during the week.  Also responsible for delivering materials in-house as needed.
  • Oversees receipt, storage and shipment of materials and related reporting per established procedures. Locates and places most packing slips.
  • Keeps warehouse area clean and organised; sweeps, breaks down boxes, restocks paper products, empties garbage, etc.  Coordinates building maintenance with building management, vendors, sub-contractors and in-house colleagues.  May assist with meeting setups including moving tables and equipment.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Additional specialised training is helpful but not required

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year of previous, relevant warehousing or shipping/receiving experience preferred
  • Experience in one or more of the following industries preferred:  electronic/electrical, fire alarm & life safety, data-cable installation and/or building automation

Certifications & Licenses: 

  • Relevant certifications and licenses preferred (e.g. Forklift certification or license)
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Must provide WA Police Clearance certificate.
