We’re on the hunt for a Control Systems Programmer who’s passionate about automation, AV systems, and driving excellence through code.
What You’ll Do
As a Control Systems Programmer in our team, you will:
- Design and implement control systems using Crestron (and ideally Q-SYS) for high-performing workplace environments.
- Create robust, reusable code and documentation to support global deployment and scalability.
- Provide professional advice to the POMT/Convergint Solutions, Engineering and Implementation and Support Services Teams around product selection and how these selections relate to the final client deliverable.
- Provide input to Engineering, Programming and delivery teams, around industry standards, best practice and thinking. Ensure the programming teams are trained and up to date with the latest methods of coding and code implementation.
- Collaborate with Solutions, Engineering, and Delivery teams to ensure seamless integration with third-party systems.
- Lead troubleshooting, diagnostics, and fault-finding—on-site and remotely.
- Mentor junior developers, contribute to R&D initiatives, and ensure our team stays ahead of industry trends.
What You Bring
- 2+ years of commercial Crestron programming experience (Simpl Windows, VisionTools Pro E).
- Experience with advanced Crestron tools (SIMPL+, SIMPL#, HTML5, Construct) highly regarded.
- Working knowledge of corporate networks, protocols, and AV-over-IP solutions (Dante, NVX, AES67, etc).
- Bonus points for: Q-SYS programming (Lua or Block Controller), DSP audio experience (Biamp, QSYS), or scripting skills in C#, Lua, or Python.
- A collaborative spirit, a passion for clean code, and an eye for intuitive user interfaces.
